Nonfiction Book Coaching

You’re a creative visionary with a message and a mission. You know it’s time to distill those ideas into a book that expands your impact, gets your work more visible, and establishes your thought leadership as the expert you are.

And while you know you’re creative, you also realize when it comes to writing a nonfiction book, you’d love to have an outside perspective from someone who helps you weave things together with focus, integrity, and clarity.

The book coach + author relationship is a process of anchoring into the vision of your book and allowing your clearest voice to shine on the page.

My approach to book coaching is rooted in my experience as both a fellow writer and a circle facilitator. We always start with strength, validation, and celebration. You know what you’re here to do and you know what needs to be said.

Yet you’re also a leader, at home and in your work, and without consistent support and accountability, your book might keep getting delayed.

What if you could marry the flow of your creativity with the power of clear steps to follow so you stay focused on what matters most of all: to receive support as you write your book so you can enjoy this creative journey?

When you share your voice, values, and mission with the world, it becomes a beacon that calls in your just-right community.

I offer private book coaching for those who desire support to go from idea to finished manuscript. This is a blend of:

  • practical writing support (developmental editing and mapping out your project with mini-goals and milestones)

  • big picture thinking (staying anchored in WHY you’re writing this book and how it brings you closer to your bigger goals in life and business)

  • intuitive coaching (gently clearing the natural blocks and resistance that arise in these creative endeavors)

Book coaching is well-suited for entrepreneurs, creatives, healers, and other heart-centered visionaries writing transformational nonfiction books.

What is a transformational nonfiction book? This simply means your book is likely to sit on the shelf with Self-Help, Psychology, Spirituality, Health, Well-being and other similar topics. You’re sharing your wisdom, signature methodology, inspiration, or a step-by-step process to help your reader experience growth, improvement, healing, or another positive transformation in their lives.

You may be starting your writing from scratch, or you’ve already generated a lot of incredible writing, resources, workshops, and courses that will become part of your non-fiction book, but you’re not quite sure how to put it all together.

Through the process of book coaching, you’ll find the golden threads in your body of work and weave them into an incredible book!

In six months I wrote and self published four books from start to finish! Leah holds gentle accountability with flexibility and understanding. There is a special energy that she adds to the container, which was a potent addition to the creation and gestation of this kind of work. Leah is all sorts of magick and brilliance!

How book coaching works

Book coaching is offered in an ongoing way, because it’s hard to know from the start how long your writing will take. I offer this support for $500 per month, which includes:

  • Two 60-minute coaching calls each month

  • Editorial review of your writing (2,500 words per month)

  • Email or Voxer support between calls

Coaching engagements last for a minimum of 3 months, and then continue indefinitely until you reach your writing goals. This usually means you’ve finished your manuscript, it’s edited, proofread, and ready for the design and publishing phase.

I currently have openings for 1:1 coaching.

To apply for one of these spots click the button below to complete a short form. Once I receive your responses, I’ll email you with an invitation to set up a conversation to answer your questions and discuss how we can work together.

Not ready for long-term book coaching quite yet?

I also offer Book Vision Sessions, hour-long coaching sessions so you can receive support and explore your book vision without an ongoing commitment.
